if you split a laser then let a beam pass
thro a semitransparent 10m chamber felt with stuff and bul****, but not changing the origianal color, then tha other beam you guide by mirrors thro empty air, then again you mix them again and point to a target 10m from source now, according to basic homodyne physics, there will be speed differences when subtracting emitter speed from tha detected speed now, if small speed differences than there will be som phase shifts now even more, if much larger speed differences, then there will still be only phase shifts, becus you cant tell which phase shift is which, becus no matter how short pulse you send, there will always be a lot of periods, accordingly you cant tell how many periods are jumped over therefore you only can detect at best single period doppler shift |
