That's a good change from your last tune, Potter. So you
can learn something.

If the orbits or the oscillators were unstable,
it would be necessary to make more frequent adjustments
to each satellite's oscillator frequency and clock,
and satellite position data.

Now explain in terms of physics or electronics,
EXACTLY what you mean by "satellite clock steering".

You can google for atomic clock steering, Potter...\

Google hits "atomic clock steering" = 0
Google hits "satellite clock steering" = 1 ( Posted by Sammy Wormley)

Now explain in terms of physics or electronics,
EXACTLY what you mean by "satellite clock steering" Sammy.

Considering that "satellite clock steering"
is some kind of babble you dreamed up Sammy,
explain in terms of physics or electronics,
EXACTLY what you mean by "satellite clock steering" Sammy.

I was pleased to see that Sammy now understands that
what allows the GPS systems to
"operate autonomously without intervention for up to six months"
is NOT General Relativioty,

but the fact that the satellites are in very stable orbits,
and high stability atomic oscillators
are used in the system.

You're not very smart are you, Potter? The Google database has many
references relating to steering clocks, but you can't seem to find them.
Try again Potter!

I tried and failed Sammy.

Why don't you do your usual thing,
and post some references?

All I got from Google was:

Google hits "atomic clock steering" = 0
Google hits "satellite clock steering" = 1 ( Posted by Sammy Wormley)
