"Paul Cardinale" wrote in message ups.com... wrote: http://physicsmathforums.com/showthr...=3640#post3640 MDT takes this further: Surfing the Fourth Dimension: A Photon as a Spherically Expanding Wavefront: Are you really stupid enough to believe that anyone is going to read past that initial tripe? Considering how long and how frequently he has been posting the same junk the answer is yes. Thanks Bill |

the basic idea is competely engulfed in rhetorical refuse,
sort of a bubble of the study of The Trivium (logic, grammer, rhetoric), but it also shows that the dude made no attempt to study stringtheory, to see if it actually contradicts anything in his opus -- which could be reduced to the title. thereby, we are his only fanbase, the three of us. Surfing the Fourth Dimension: A Photon as a Spherically Expanding Wavefront: Considering how long and how frequently he has been posting the same junk the answer is yes. thus: I've never thought about it like that (although the first three bisections give the standard "orthoscheme"), because the "usual" way to subdivide tetrahedra is to have the cutting planes *parallel* to the facets, which gives a network of octahedra & tetrahedra (see my sigfile for Bucky's "opus," _S_ .-) 1. start with 1 tetrahedron, 2. bisect this starting tetrahedron by splitting any edge at midpoint; the new point that was generated and the two points opposed to it will form a surface that bisects the tetrahedron 3. bisect both resulting tetrahedrons by splitting an unsplit edge, 4. bisect the 4 resulting tetrahedrons the same way, in a way that after these 3 bisections, each of the starting tetrahedron's edges has been split in half. Then proceed with the resulting 8 tehtrahedrons until a predefined granularity is reached. I tried to find a formula to calculate the number of vertices in such a grid, given a number of bisections performed. The problem that keeps this from being simple is, that adjacent terahedrons can (and will) split the same edge, producing only 1 new vertice instead of two. thus: I thought that tides were essentially symmetrical, being on both sides of the spheroid. anyway, I've never been able to configure it, by observation at the beach while feasting on raw grunion, whether the tide is at right angles to the line between Moon and Earth; is it? With tidal effects the gravitational eccentricity lies in the near hemisphere of the sun or planet. With gravitational doppler the eccentricity lies in the receding hemisphere at right angles to the tidal eccentricity. there's more than one moon in Solar system, that's facing its planet! Doesn't surprise me. thus: this is tricky; you have to blow a bubble *around* it.... just kidding. What and where should wire loops be placed in a frame in order to get a Costa surface by immersing and withdrawing from a soap bath? on the wayside, it seems that Jimi's question was a "trick" one.... anyway, it certainly is perfectly lawful to go to one's alma mater to try to get a grip on "the math," even if it's totally divorced from any sort of hypothesis a la mathematical physics (seems to be a "grey area," if you never did graduate, yet ... but, how in Hell did he do it ?-)... also, I will soon again take a vow not to participate in these so-called fora, since I really don't quite grok "the math," since it seems to be a little *too* "for its own sake," if not for the ongoing agrandizement of One Man's CV. (I really work on "pure" numbertheory -- being a proud "fermatiste," however with no publishable result, at all ... just recall monsieur Wiles, toiling in his attic for seven alleged years, moo-ha-ha -- and "pure" solid geometry, although "pure math is just a subfield of applied math.") Did you miss this part? I explained it all to him using his chalkboard in his office, and afterward, he went home. Thanked me for an enjoyable conversation, and that was it. Would you feel differently if JSH showed up at _your_ office and got into a heated discussion over his "math"? on the wayside,
the age of Aquarius does not occur until "stardate" time; that is, thanks to Gene Roddenberry, Ptolemy and the WAND Corp., we have been frozen in the age of Pisces ("first day of Aires is defined to be the vernal equinox;" oops -- April Fools !-) thus: the basic idea is competely engulfed in rhetorical refuse, sort of a bubble of the study of The Trivium (logic, grammer, rhetoric), but it also shows that the dude made no attempt to study stringtheory, to see if it actually contradicts anything in his opus -- which could be reduced to the title.... thereby, we are his only fanbase, the three of us.
