I think I read that as Mass increased then its Gravity is what is slowing the cosmic expansion. If Gravity can slow inflation traveling at the speed of light then shouldn't the Relativity be impossible "since" the energy/waves/particle were all expanding at the SAME SPEED wrt each other??? 1. Perhaps its because they were traveling same as Sun Rays at an arc angle from each other therefore not the same velocity wrt each other? 2. Why isn't all mass at the same distance away from the singularity, why are some expanding further than Earth, it's not because they are lighter that they are further away and traveling at a faster expansion velocity (I can't imagine the Bang as anything but instantaneous as opposed to a continuous stream)? |

Mas does not increase unless more mass is added some way. Also, it was originally assumed that the recession of the galaxies was slowing due to gravity, but recent measurements has tha assuption in questiion. If Gravity can slow inflation traveling at the speed of light Nothing can slow anything movintg at the speed of light without touching it. then shouldn't the Relativity be impossible "since" the energy/waves/particle were all expanding at the SAME SPEED wrt each other??? Sorry, but the above assumes several different things that are not correct. 1. Perhaps its because they were traveling same as Sun Rays at an arc angle from each other therefore not the same velocity wrt each other? Please do not let yourself make assumptions based on incorrect assumptions or interpretations. If you do, many of them will be impressed in your memory and be very difficult to erase. This is exactly how the many nutcases posting here got so goofy, they imagined things, and nothing will likely ever erase those beliefs. This is exactly the kind of thing many people are in institutions, they are unable to mentally correct prior assumptions, interpretations or hallucinations. 2. Why isn't all mass at the same distance away from the singularity, There is no singularity related to the Big Bang Burger Bar or the observed recession of the galaxies. Chances are there are no singularities of any kind, why do you think physicists don't like the idea of singularities? why are some expanding further than Earth, What does that mean, the Earth is always a little less than 8000 miles in diameter. it's not because they are lighter that they are further away and traveling at a faster expansion velocity Most all things visibile in the sky are many times heavier than the Earth. (I can't imagine the Bang as anything but instantaneous as opposed to a continuous stream)? That is silly, nothing of any great size can change very fast, let alond instantaneously. Please wait until you can take formal classes in relativity before you form any opinions that will make you unhappy and make you seem to be a real nutcase to scientists. Joe Fischer |

wrote in message oups.com... I think I read that as Mass increased then its Gravity is what is slowing the cosmic expansion. Nope. In fact the evidence is that it is accelerating - this is the issue of dark energy http://www.firstscience.com/SITE/ARTICLES/dark.asp If Gravity can slow inflation traveling at the speed of light What makes you think inflation happened at the speed of light? then shouldn't the Relativity be impossible "since" the energy/waves/particle were all expanding at the SAME SPEED wrt each other??? Your logic escapes me. 1. Perhaps its because they were traveling same as Sun Rays at an arc angle from each other therefore not the same velocity wrt each other? 2. Why isn't all mass at the same distance away from the singularity, Perhaps because they had different initial velocities. Besides it is space-time that is expanding - mass is taken along with it. http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~wright/cosmology_faq.html why are some expanding further than Earth, it's not because they are lighter that they are further away and traveling at a faster expansion velocity (I can't imagine the Bang as anything but instantaneous as opposed to a continuous stream)? Then that is a failure of your imagination - not the facts. Inflation says it did not happen instantaneously http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_inflation Bill |

Joe right you are. The universe is not gaining more mass, but every day
its rate of expansion increases. Accelerating creates greater inertia, and inertia and gravity are the same thing. TreBert |
