Default Moving Dimensions Theory--Not String Theory--Satisfies Einstein's Requirements for a Physical Theory

Moving Dimensions Theory accounts for and unifies general relativity
and quantum mechanics by postulating that the fourth dimension is
expanding relative to the three spatial dimensions in units of the
Planck length at the rate of c.

Moving dimensions theory is utter nonsense as has been pointed out to you
time and time again. It is semantic gibberish that results from the fact
you do not understand what move means.

Rest of junk maliciously cross posted to multiple groups snipped.

Bill

If the universe is expanding, the physical universe then I can
imagine that our mental construct, dimensions are expanding, in
a sense,

Exactly what sense would that be? Dimension is the maximal number of
linearly independent points necessary to span a space and can be shown to be
a constant. Saying such expands or moves is obvious semantic nonsense.
Sometimes a specific coordinate is referred to as a dimension eg the time
dimension. One can probably imagine a coordinate as expanding or
contracting or even moving but such is always relative to another coordinate
system - absolute expansion or movement does not exist - at least as far as
any experiment that has ever been done to detect it is concerned (caveat -
QM does define an intrinsic length scale but that is another issue). What
you may be thinking of is the distance between points expanding. If that is
what you mean then it is best to express it that way.

and the idea is interesting and helps remove artificial fixed points or
grids in space as absolutes.

In GR coordinate systems (or grids in space as you call it) are not
absolutes. In fact it is based on the principle of general covariance which
says the exact opposite.

Now, I'm kind of blown away by the idea of expanding dimensions

You would be even more blown away by the actual science.

but it is trivial compared to man's soul and finding if there is a true
personal entity that could rightfully be called God, or Holy Spirit,
or Great Spirit.

I post out of sci.physics.relativity which is a science forum. I generally
leave issues related to religion to others. But for the record I believe in
the God of Spinoza.

Thanks
Bill

Forgetting my choice of the word 'sense' for the sake of discussion:
I meant that I have always imagined that if space and time were
expanding then they would change coordinates in the human-created
grid, the cartesian coordinate system (I think that is correct) ... but it
occurs to me now because of the posts here, that the grid itself could
be imagined to be expanding along with the actual universe.

Dimension is the maximal number of linearly independent points necessary to span a space and can be shown to be a constant.

You are saying the exact same thing I said up until a couple of days ago
and I think that it is a reasonable and unassailable point of view, not to be
discounted ... but I can also see that the 3D grid can be imagined to be
expanding or contracting also. Maybe just a mental game or exercise or
fantasy ... but interesting to me, at least.

It seems that for any coordinate system to expand it would have to be in
relation to some other standard, perhaps only another coordinate system
but it is possible to think of an expanding universe with an expanding grid
which is imperceptible because of the lack of a reference system. Largely
a mental game ... ?

and the idea is interesting and helps remove artificial fixed points or grids in space as absolutes.

Perhaps but I don't have time. I've found a little bit of exploration into
evolutionary theory very disappointing.

I am intrigued by your mention of Spinoza. I'll try to form an opinion. I
believe in the God of "A Course in Miracles".

Bingo. Expand means grow in size. Size is relative to something else.

grid
