The negative result of Michelson-Morley experiment clearly showed that,
as far as the speed of light is concerned, Newton's "particle" model of
light is adequate: the speed of the photon with respect to the light
source (c=300000 km/s) should be added to the speed v of the source or
observer (hence the "c+v" principle of the variability of the speed of
light). Yet a scientifically mediocre but politically genial young
physicist, Albert Einstein, decided to draw on the then current
obsession with the wave model of light and introduced an absurdity
known as the principle of constancy of the speed of light (the "c"
principle), together with a series of miracles (reciprocal length
contraction, reciprocal time dilation etc.) designed to make the "c"
principle compatibe with the negative result of the experiment.
Unfortunately, the beginning of the 20th century was a period of
intensive deification of mediocrities so scientists took the miracles
for a divine sign and Einstein was deified.

Einstein knew all along that the "c+v" principle is correct. He used it
in the derivation of the frequency shift factor 1+phi/c^2 and even
denounced the "c" principle in Chapter 22 in his "Relativity". Yet he
and his followers had understood something much more important for
them: the conversion of science into a cult and the destruction of
human rationality are extremely profitable and from some point on the
process is irreversible: everybody knows the theory is a fraud but sick
human minds see only dark frightening spaces beyond it.

Einstein's absurd "c" principle had its predecessor, the so-called
second law of thermodynamics where the magic word "entropy" played a
major role. It will be instructive to say a few words about this
earlier "rationality terminator". The second law of
thermodynamics...................
