Sound waves are compression waves.

What if the compression only registered as an increase in energy?
Then, what would this wave be?

Since it's a compression wave, it would still be a compression wave.

But what if you didn't know it was a compression wave in the first place?

Then you wouldn't know it was a compression wave unless you decided to
find out if it was a compression wave.

But in which circumstances could this wave be viewed as a transverse wave?

None. You said it was a compression wave.

No. I said I didn't know it was a compression wave. Your reply is
somewhat narrow minded.

No. I said I didn't know it was a compression wave.

And I answered that question. Look above.

Your reply is somewhat narrow minded.

Not giving you the answer you want in response to the questions
you asked, is not being narrow minded. You received responses
with appropriate qualifications to the questions you posed. If
the answers to your questions did not answer some question you
didn't pose, I can't help that.
