Default Why Uncle Al usually just name-calls

Why does Uncle assAl usually just name-call?

Because when he tries to express reason he makes a circular-reasoning ass of
himself:

"Uncle Al" wrote in message

Eleaticus explicitly demonstrates that he is completely ignorant of
multivariable calculus. He has no concept of the Chain Rule in
multivariable calculus. Consider his Galilean Transformation goo and
dribble:

t' = t,

It is beside the immediate point, but as assAl points out below, I always
insist - not on t'=t - but on there being no t' in honest Newton-theoretic
transforms.

x' = x - vt,
y' = y,
z' = z.

His refusal to accept that t' must be introduced as a separate
variable

See?

The transformation law for the differential operators under the
Galilean transformation is given by:

d/dt' = d/dt + v d/dx,
d/dx' = d/dx,
d/dy' = d/dy,
d/dz' = d/dz.

This shows the necessity of introducing a new variable t', since
partial differentiation with respect to t' (constant x', y', z') is a
different operation to partial differentiation with respect to t
(constant x, y, z).

See? You must introduce t' so you can differentiate wrt t'.

Circular 'reasoning'.

To quote myself (pay particular attention to the end of the quote):

True Believer SR-cult responses
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Focus well on negative 'responses'. Are they vicious ranting?

If not, are the replies actually responsive?

"How dare you say my soups suck!" exclaimed the angry chef, "my peach pies
are perfect"

Do they rant about gravity, or how Relativity is proved correct a million
times each day, or some other 'we are proved right' rave that doesn't deal
in details about the debunking done here? It is typically General Relativity
or items about the energy and mass of moving objects that are being waved at
you, and such items are completely irrelevant to coordinate transformations
and invariance..

Just ask them for a list of all the observations that have been made of the
shortening (contraction) of moving objects that Special Relativity says
always occurs.

Rarely, there is actually a response that has some relevance to the material
posted, and those are proofs of their Brain Death.

Get used to the fact that he has a religion and is incapable of
reason.
Like any Jehovah's Witness or raghead, he's convinced that his faith
is the
only true faith. The trouble is you knocked on his door, not he on
yours,
so you are now the brunt of his abuse or tyranny.
The best resort is to ignore the stooopid ****. He'll not convince
you,
and you'll not convince him. All you'll get into is a flame war, and
that too
is stooopid. He has few followers anyway, and those he does are morons
solely interested in his spite and envious of it. They'll sock it away
for
a year and then plagiarise it, thinking they are once again original.

I know it's hard to take, but listen to Uncle Al, he's absolutely brilliant.

Yes that brilliance frustrates him and often makes his interactions with
others acerbic and denigrating, but that he felt your post worthy of a
response pointing out your errors could very well mean he's leaving the
option open that you have the potential to learn.

He was mad at your math. Boy! was he ever mad at your math! The length and
technical detail of his post is surprising. That he replied to you was not
an insult unless you take it as one. Ignore his personal attacks, they're
calculated to cause you to automatically lose by refusing to even try to
understand what he's saying. If you are more important than what you want to
know, you can't learn.

If you think you're right, then counter his arguments... without insults...
use your brain, not the brain stem he's expecting you to react with. I think
he'll trump you at every turn, but my math is so poor I won't judge that.
Whatever the outcome, arguing your position can only prove beneficial to
you, because in that way you can strengthen (or falsify) your original
reasoning.

Never in many years had he actually said anything remotely responsive until
the recent admission I was right in one post, and his circular reasoning.

And ALWAYS without fail he has been insulting.

But, nice post innyhoo!

You're kidding! He said you were right somewhere?! Congratulations. No
wonder he's intrigued. Normally his reasoning is thorough, circular would be
a mistake, and I doubt he makes many... at least publically.

And ALWAYS without fail he has been insulting.

That's unfortunate. Does it cause you to ignore what he has to say?

But, nice post innyhoo!

As you know, I hold you no malice.

You seem to be missing what you have acknowledged above: he doesn't say
anything! Except in this one very recent instance.

I didn't acknowledge anything of the sort, though I'm sure it's true in some
instances, haven't been following his posts.

Seems you're running hot right now, judging by the volume of new strings
you've posted, why don't you cool down a bit? Anger and logic seldom go
together.

Absolutely! I know there are rocket moters under my chair holding
my butt in place because his math says so. It is me that is the idiot
for not finding the motors where they clearly should be.

You should be more understanding of these poor souls
whose religion has only eight months to live when GP-B
demonstrates that gravity tugs only on the co-ordinate
system defining the space between a pair of ears.
