1) Pax is pretty dull and naive, unable to focus on or understand
physics, turns
to people skills and hero worship.
2) Sue is pretty sharp, has an excellent mind, a good grasp of physics
and can be very subtle.
3) Auntie Alice thinks he's the cat's whiskers, but comes over as a
troll.
4) Eleaticus and Schwartz have entered into a flame war that neither
can win.
5) From 4), Alice and Eleaticus have engaged in stooopid behaviour.
6) Eleaticus isn't quite bright enough to understand Sue's meaning.

Does this entitle Eleaticus to declare that anyone else doesn't grasp

Well, actually, that is not what Eleaticus has said.
What Eleaticus openly declares is that Eleaticus doesn't think.
What Eleaticus means is that Eleaticus has formed an opinion of the
cognitive powers of Androcles, and as we all know, opinions are like
arseholes.
Everyone has one and they all stink.
Let me see if I can explain what is going on.
Sue, on the surface, is appearing to agree with Pax. Her response is
"Absolutely!"
This is known as sarcasm.
She then refers to Auntie Alice's "math". That's GR.
Einstein once talked about being in an elevator that is accelerating
"up", and
this is in some way equivalent to gravity.
Sue replaces the elevator with rockets under her chair to simulate
gravity,
and then discovers they do not exist.
