In 50,000 posts to usenet (all of them replies to other posters)
I have NEVER met a single individual who was not HOSTILE
to the idea of a SPoG.

You mean *your* idea of SPoG. Thats what is generating the hostility.

I don't think anyone has problems with more conventional SPoGs, for
example as listed at:

Those generate rational discussion in the NGs all the time.
