Default Paul Andersen's Famous Fairies.

Firstly, we had the 'tick fairies' that gobble up surplus GPS clock ticks as
they fall to Earth.

Paul has now identified a second species.

These 'starlight fairies' have the job of readjusting the speed of all light in
the universe so that it travels to the DHRs on planet Earth (a considerable
distance away) at exactly 'c'.

Y'know, if we claimed the speed of sound was constant and independent of the
motion of the source, we could could use Einstein's garbage to 'prove'
nothing
could move faster than the speed of sound.
I just can't understand why relativists are completely insane when it comes
to something as slow as light. It takes hours to reach the outer planets,
and Einstein's nonsense about "the velocity of light in our theory plays the
part, physically, of an infinitely great velocity." is just comical.
"Plays the part..." What is it, an actor?

Announcing the "The Theory of Relativity", starring C. Light as the Infinite
Velocity, co-starring the Frame sisters, K- and Inertial. Also starring
Tick Fae.
Lighting by J.C. (Wavy) Maxwell, stage manager Kip Thorne, choreographer
Charlie Misner.
Produced and directed by A.Einstein.

Government Health Warning:
Patrons over the age of 16 may die laughing at this pantomime.

It would be very nice if certain people on these ngs understood not
only relativity, but the thorough implications of their own pet
theories also. If you say you have an alternative theory to
relativity, that's fine. But when you don't even understand how your
own pet theory works in its stead, that starts to get a little
ridiculous. Wilson and Androcles keep promoting the ballistic theory,
yet they don't even understand the fundamental consequences of their
own ideas. Their only purpose is to destroy relativity and through
their all-encompassing ignorance, they come off looking like total
clowns.

Not only do they not understand the fundamental consequences of their
own ideas... they don't even understand their own ideas to begin with.

Did you know that time slows to zero for dolphins that swim at the speed of
sound underwater. They made their own calculations based on Einstein's logic.

I wish I had a pony.

I just do not understand the single-minded goal of smashing
relativity. I would like to see GR broken, but im not going about it
by proclaiming experimentally disproven ideas!

It will greatly amuse me to see what form quantum gravity will take.
One can hope that it would require so much math that it would be
totally inacessable to cranks

Every dolphin knows nothing can exceed the speed of sound in water,
but let's be fair to dolphins. "Empty space" isn't in their vocabulary. The
nearest they can come to is air, they probably think the moon and the sun
are airborne and they have no telescopes, so that is forgivable.
