The reason for the time dilations is because time is a property of matter and it passes inversely proportional to an object's state of motion in space. Thus, the faster we go, the slower our personal time rate. Conversely, the slower we go, the faster time passes for us. As we slowed from the speed of Earth to a substantially lower speed, we would age more rapidly than on Earth and we would soon die and our corpses would begin to rot and eventually disappear as our lifetime ended. Some may argue that we would get larger or longer as we slow down more and more, but lately the consensus seems to be that the increase in mass would be negligible or not occur at all.
