deficiency, especially with corn) hurts. Soya-based cuisine given
their high levels of phytoestrogens genestein, daidzein, and
coumesterol is especially damning for males. Women have delayed
menopause, men have underdeveloped genitalia.

Terrestrial meat can run from predators. Unless you eat polar bear
liver, meat is harmless. A blade of grass is stuck fast when a
ravenous cow visits. All plants can do is poison their predators.
Poisoning from potato solanine is still common in the UK.

"Common"? I've never heard of a case outside of crime fiction.
