Default [#1] What Newbies Need to Know About SR

SR posits that the speed of light is a universal constant in all inertial
frames. This is confirmed by experiments. The speed of light is
299,792,458m/1 clock second. This implies that a clock second is an interval
of universal time and that the passage of a clock second in one inertial
frame is equal to the passage of a clock second in all inertial frames. In
other words, a clock second as measured by one clock corresponds to a clock
second as measured by all the clocks in relative motion wrt it.
However, SR also claims that time is relative and that a clock second as
measured by one clock corresponds to less than a clock second as measured by
another clock in motion with respect to the first.

The above SR claims are conflicting with each other.

For the Newbies:
A way to resolve the above contradictory SR statements is as follows:
The speed of light is NOT a universal content as asserted by SR. It is a
constant math ratio in all inertial frames as follows:
Light path length of rod (299,792,458m)/the absolute time content for a
clock second co-moving with the rod.

Priceless :-)

I think I just found his very first message on Usenet on 25-Jul-1995
on bit.listserv.catholic (sic!):
http://groups.google.com/groups?&as_...i.erinet .com
It was the time of the famous KHS Publishing: "Selling booklets on
Advertising and marketing."

Then he went to sci.astro without much success... but finally
in September he got some replies on sci.physics:

There's even a reply from John Baez, imagine that!

Ah...the SRian runt EjP comes out swinging. Notice that when a SRian runt
have no good answer he comes out attacking.
Definition for an SRian runt:
A moron who thinks that SR is a religion. An idiot who doesn't
know the limitations of SR. A mental midget who can't comprehend beyond what
he was taught in school. An imbecile who follows
the SRians around like a puppy and eats up their **** like
gourmet puppy chow. An Asshole who will attack anybody who disagrees with
SR.

I note with interest that Ken Seto considers a pointer to a posting
written by Ken Seto to be an attack on Ken Seto.

Yes. This is most certainly something newbies need to
know. Never quote a Seto to a Seto!

Well, it's pretty hard to do more damage to Seto than he does to
himself. Apparently, even he sees this.

This is all very amusing. But if we can be serious for a minute, I
believe that I've written all the essentials for newbies to SR:
