Do Virtual Photons Exist?
The statement that SR "abandoned" the Aether is misleading. As Dr. Einstein
said, "remember genetlemen, we have not disproven the Aether, we have merely shown that we do not need it (for calculations). The Lorentz Transformation Aether Theory is a special case solution of STR and, as such is implicit in STR. The theories are cross-derivable and are therefore the same theory examined from a different viewpoint, however LTET does not involve the innate contradictions of STR. Unfortunately, the subject has been obscured by the current teachings as a result from the inability of mathematically trained individuals to understand the necessary mechanisms involved in STR and LTET.
