"Len Gaasenbeek" wrote in message ... The final nail in the coffin of relativistic "physics" is the doctrine that relativity is illogical by its very nature. Consequently, anyone who tries to use logic to make a point (by definition) doesn't know what he is talking about and we have come full circle. That is to say, to be a relativist means that you must embrace the fact that the universe is illogical, which make actual physical experiments based on logic superfluous. This is the perfect definition of a religion or cult since for example, what experiment can you perform that proves that the holy trinity (the father, the son and the holy spirit) exists? If you profess to be a Christian, you take these concepts on faith. "A myth is, of course, not a fairy story. It is the presentation of facts belonging to one category in the idioms appropriate to another. To explode a myth is accordingly not to deny the facts but to reallocate them." Gilbert Ryle (1900-1976) The Concept of Mind, Introduction. You seem to overlook the fact that relativity physics is a set of very definite mathematical equations (vs. some philosophy) which has a very rich set of testable predictive implications. The world of physics awaits the definitive experimental counter-example that actually would drive the "final nail in the coffin". However, if what you are saying is true then the US Naval Observatory should be informed that they have based their relativistic corrections in the GPS system on a religion. They may want to remove those religious artifacts. (Hope the don't tell any of the GPS users of their illogical error.) Perion |
