Can anybody cite practical proof that light gains transverse component from
a moving body? Q. If that were the case - we would see Saturn differently from Earth than from close by. Yes? Alex Kudrasev. |

Consider a laser firing a pulse of light at a stationary (with respect to the laser) target. Now observe this from a spaceship moving at right angles to the line from the laser to the target.
