Default How to infer causation from Correlation

To Greywolf: The Cambridge citation I quoted did not in any way
misrepresent its discussion of post hoc, ergo propter hoc. Cambridge
can be read in any library. Go check it. What went before the
"However" was the story of storks and babies. Stop trying to rescue
your untenable position by "argument from innuendo". You are on one
side, and The Cambridge Dictionary of Philosophy is on the other. You
are just plain wrong.
