I am just curious. Should I look to alt.sex.perversions, and
alt.politics to find some actual physics discussions?

1) sci.physics is unmoderated.
2) Sturgeon's law (unexpurgated).
3) On the average, 1/2 the population has in IQ under 100. One
cannot imagine, but one can appreciate the empirical results.
4) Many of (2,3) fancy themselves physicists by means of divine
revelation, personal logic, finely honed ignorance, psychosis and
other frank intellectual pathologies.
5) Uncle Al always loved 10-in-1 shows, but the foregoing freaks
would not qualify as interesting exhibits.
6) One can pose a novel, important, and eminently testable question
with rigorous theoretical and mathematical foundations and still have
it gainsaid becasue it requires an unfashionable conclusion,

All of the above. It is *supposed* to be about physics.
There are some who have expressed license to insult and
defame those with whom they disagree.

Some large part of the population consider themselves
knowledgable in the sciences. Some days you'd possibly
get a more physics oriented discussion elsewhere. It
is true to the nature of a sometimes cooperarative
anarchy.

Some of the folks here actually involve themselves in
physics most of the time. Even they occasionally take
a vacation here. Tighter controls are imposed in
sci.physics.research although that group is not
without some difficulties as well.

So shut the **** up and post some physics. I just love these guys who
never start a thread, yet feel compelled to complain about those that
