His advances made us know about the Earth and other planets better. His Theories were not Liked by the Church and Church ordered him in Prision for rest of his life. But still he was a good Mathematician. His theories were proved correct on most occasions. But still there are a few faults in his theory and todays Scientists are finding better ways using modern ideas like Quantum Mechanics. So, This is how I grade the Best Scientists of the World. The Great Physicists
Boil, discoverd in ninth grade that water boyles at 212 degrees F, and never by-gosh was forgotten daVinci, he's not mentioned above, but didn't he design an airplane or helicopter or something that could also be related to "physics" since everything is anyhow Madame Curee, no telling how many cancers are caused by her damned radiation discovery, almost worse than Mrs. Clinton, target practice for miscyoginists and poor spellers Graham, various physical involved laws, for instance, like inflation causes sound coins to flee from dirty commerce or not even close Graham again, could fill up a stadium without a football game, rock concert, nixon speech: invented classy north carolina accent Robespierre, advisor about related stuff & their reactions to the King of France, also named after a beautiful bird genus hint : not that orangey robin |

Bye Sanny Galileo planted the seed of modern physics with his discovery of the fact that a pendulum could divide the day, month, and year into finer increments, thus setting the stage for the search for finer and finer, and different and more stable oscillators, without which science would not have progressed. Galileo also studied the relationships between mass, gravity, acceleration, and velocity, and discovered that gravity affected the frequency of oscillators, ( The "Galileo Effect", an effect considered in the GPS system.) thus setting the stage for Newton's Laws. And without Volta's AMAZING invention of the battery ( While investigating "animal electricity".) there would not have been the rapid advances in electricity, magnetism and chemistry that immediately followed from the availability of a continuous source of electrical power. Man knew of, and had played with, static electricity for centuries, but lacked the ability to perform experiments to expand man's knowledge of chemistry, electricity, magnetism, motors, generators, plating, etc. until Volta's invention. And of course, Maxwell establish the standard that all physics models MUST conform to, with his development of Dimensional Analysis, where he showed that all of the physical properties could be defined in terms of mass, time and a three dimensional space vector "del". And Maxwell basically was the founder of Quantum Mechanics as he pointed out that multidimensional systems had to be described using the newly developed field of statistics that was being used by the English government, and of course, Einstein/Bose statistics, and Fermi statistics are nominal variations of Maxwell's statistics, used to express nouns (Fermions) and verbs (Bosons) in terms of a single family (Words). And of course, Tom Edison was the free market master of all scientists, as he invented the recording of sound and motion pictures, and applied the newly discovered laws of physics to developing electric power companies, street lighting, home lighting, and electrically driven factories PLUS Edison discovered the "Edison Effect" which lead to the triode, which lead to the transistor, which lead to the integrated circuit, which lead to the microprocessor. Contrast the works of these great Scientists to the works of the scientist that Time Magazine declared to be the "Man of the Century", Einstein. As can be seen, Einstein not only ripped off Maxwell, Thomson, Leucippus, etc. and tried to derail Quantum Mechanics, but he ripped off the works of people like Lorenz and Fitzgerald, and called it Special Relativity, and ripped of the model (Stress and strains) and tools (Tensors) of the stress analysis gurus of the late 1800's, and called it General Relativity, and put such a spin on his theories that they waste time, money and minds on such pursuits as time travel, worm holes, warped spaces, rubber clocks and rulers, etc. When one compares the works of Einstein to other scientists, one has to wonder why Time Magazine made Einstein their "Man of the Century", and why the American government has spent billions of the taxpayers hard-earned dollars trying to rationalize Einstein's models. For example, after Newton's model, there were immediate and rapid advances in mechanics, astronomy, etc. After Maxwell's model there were immediate and rapid advances in chemistry, electricity, etc. After Watson's and Crick's DNA model there were immediate and rapid advances in medicine, genetics, animal husbandry, the history of the Earth and Mankind, etc. It appears that the theories of Time Magazine's "Man of the Century" are more of a "Tower of Babel" than viable, cost-effective, models that can be used to improve the lot of mankind. What a fraud! Tell you what, why not prove your point by ripping off some modern maths and developing a unified field theory. Einstein never managed that (obviously lazy as well as a cheat), but there's stacks more maths to pirate these days and probably ample for the purpose. But no cheating, mind, by developing any new maths, or your whole theory will be discredited. Cheers John Ramsden |
