He didn't say that, either. (At least Kip Thorne didn't. I don't know
about this Kip Thorn fella.) What is true is that they get *close* to
the speed of light.

But even that is in contradiction to the Special theory of Relativity.
According to Einstein matter cannot reach light speed.

Kip Thorn made an excuse to preserve everyone's confidence in the
theory of black holes. But the fact that they are in contradiction to
the laws of motion prove that they are a point of failure.

Einstein himself knew there was something wrong with his theory's
prediction of a star that collapses to a point or becomes a black
hole.

All falling things reach the speed of light at the event horizon.

That is plain wrong. Moreover, Kip Thorne doesn't say all things reach

Time ends in the Schwarzschild metric.

These two things go hand in hand.

No, he says they *approach* light speed.
It will help if you read more carefully, Mitch. Your grip on reality

I believe it was in a book called Black holes.

Probably "Black Holes and Time Warps: Einstein's Outrageous Legacy". I
have it. What page number do you think you read that on?

He made an excuse that objects won't fall faster than light.

Where time ends in the Scharzschild metric he concludes objects have
reached the speed of light but will not go any faster.

His excuse was not Big enough becuase reaching light speed is still
violating Special Relativity.

You have more of an excuse. You deny the fact that where time ends
objects have reached light speed. It is as clear as that.

No Thorne made the first excuse.

Black holes make nonsense predictions at their event horizons. Stephen
Hawking pointed out that General Relativity predicts its own downfall
in black holes. He should have corrected the theory. He didn't. I have
found that the theory predicts its own downfall at the event horizon.
It predicts infinite and zero energy light because of the Einstein
shift.

Infinite gravitational blue shift and red shift disproves black holes
at the event horizon.
