Frankly, the major crimes you ever saw are because
of science or accidents of science. More precise, medicine and physics. These two branches are the worst of them all, and nano-tech, not to forget. They are dangerous. They start innocently, posing innocent postulates, you cant get hurt by postulates, so you digest. The postulates may not agree with obserrvables, heck, they are postulates, what do you expect? Enough that them make sense in papers and sick brains. The postulates evolves in theories, which may not agree with their own postulates, does not matter, theories can be fixed in order to sell good. Why cant we just live in peace with nature, eating plants and living 1000 years? Why cant we just be quite? |

Why cant we just live in peace with nature, eating plants and living 1000 years? Why cant we just be quite? Nature is infinitely complex. When attempting to understand the complexity gets too overwhelming, perhaps it is better to simply accept Nature as God. This is the pantheist approach. They start innocently, posing innocent postulates, you cant get hurt by postulates, so you digest. The postulates may not agree with obserrvables, heck, they are postulates, what do you expect? Enough that them make sense in papers and sick brains. Yes, better stick with dogmas. Far less dangerous. The postulates evolves in theories, which may not agree with their own postulates, does not matter, theories can be fixed in order to sell good. Yes, and pay for our big cars. You haven't got a big car, have you? Good. Why cant we just live in peace with nature, eating plants and living 1000 years? Why cant we just be quite? We can be quite annoying toward imbeciles, can't we? Dirk Vdm |

Here is an open minded versionhttp://www.pantheist.net/ Here is a version that claims to be scientifichttp://www.pantheism.net/ Or the Universe as God, that works also. The classic mystic view is that God is the primal sort of ur-structure which precedes all matter (e.g. the Universe) in the "sequence" of existence. The world of physics is almost the outer-most "shell", sitting almost next to "the Void" (another ancient mystic notion according to which the Void is infinitely rigid, infinitely dense, eternally unmoving and without extent - that's an almost direct quote). The physical layer we call "the universe" is in a certain sense extremely unlike the other layers ("spiritual") because its forms are "frozen", "static", and "tense", or as if in a "petrified" state. This rigidity is responsible for our ability to track physical reality by external measurements of all kinds. So in a sense the science of physics is the study of certain least-relevant (or rather most irrelevant :-) ) aspects of cosmos treated as a whole. The above is all super-old stuff. -- Jan Bielawski |
