Thats wrong. If the lamps is at a distance l in S', then this distance
is not l as measured in S. In S, the lamp is a distance l/g in front
of S', g = gamma = 1/sqrt(...). *

Shouldn't l be l*g?

No. l/g = l(1/sqrt( )) = l*sqrt( ) l .
