Default what is quantum foam?

I see expressions such as quantum gravitational foam, or gravitational
quantum foam, but unsure what they mean. I hear that they are related
to topological strings as well and can be calculated from the process
of melting crystal.

But not sure what quantum foam means........
Could somebody kindly explain it to me?

You received no replies so I'll just guess what it means. The uneven cosmic background radiation is assumed, I think, to result from quantumn fluctuations when t=0 became finite (non-zero).

These fluctuations (some of them) became gravitational centers on which strings of galaxie's eventually developed.[/
