Topsy Turvy: In neutrons and protons, quarks take wrong turns Revved-up particles, namely quarks, spinning inside neutrons in the opposite direction to that of the neutrons themselves, challenge the prevailing model of how quarks behave. See: http://www.sciencenews.org/20040103/fob1.asp |

Tom--The quark model successes http://www.google.com/search?q=%22qu...l%22+successes Google hits "quark model" successes = 919 Google hits "bohr model" successes = 243 Google hits "maxwell model" successes = 17 I think what Wormly is trying to say, is that the newer the model, and the less cost-effective it is, the more Google hits you will get touting its' "successes". I suspect that the folks who are interested in viable and cost-effective models of reality use those that work best, and that the people who are interested in looting the taxpayers, use new models that lend themselves to obfuscation. |
