This still doesn't account for the fact that wave functions are not
functions of spatial coordinates, but functions of *configuration
space* coordinates. For the human arm, for instance, psi would
be a function of 24 variables (ignoring the quantization of all
the other 10 gadjillion degrees of freedom, mostly microscopic),
none of which have any direction connection to the x,y,z coordinates
of space.

It also ignores the fact, as explained in a prior reply, that
"wave functions" are not the fundamental object of consideration
at all, to begin with; but are several levels down the
totem pole from the actual primitives of quantum theory, that
only arise after the Stone-von Neumann theorem; and after the
GNS-construction (or something similar) and a suitable formulated
GNS representation theorem.
