I knew it.
Look at http://www.aip.org/enews/physnews/2003/split/651-1.html for instance.
Didn't I say that the accelerating expansion would eventually rip apart atoms? (...Starblade Riven Darksquall...)

But did you know that the last-to-remain subatomic particles will then be stretched in their seams until they unravel into their stringy constitchuents, which in turn will ring-out into a silence of a (woefully wooly) lambda. :-) FEI
