I have a paper describing the calculations which I believe Heisenberg
followed in his famous 1925 paper where he solved the quantum anharmonic oscillator and thereby paved the way for modern quantum mechanics. I am considering sending it to a journal as to my knowledge details of the way treated this quantum system using only observable quantitiies has nowhere been documented. [Anybody who is unconvinced by the complexity of the calculations which Heisenberg must have gone through need only take a look at the original paper himself.] Before I do anything rash I would like to get an opinion or two on what I've written. If you have an interest in this sort of thing and would be willing spend a little time giving me your opinion, then please contact me. Thanks, David. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |
