if A = 0 then w t can be anything you want.

if not A=0 then
sin(w t) = 1/2
so
w t = pi / 6 + 2 k pi
for any integer number k in {...,-2,-1,0,1,2,...}
or
w t = 5 pi / 6 + 2 k' pi
for any integer number k' in {...,-2,-1,0,1,2,...}

A sin(wt) = 1/2A

sin(wt) = 1/2A^2

wt = arcsin(1/2A^2)

If he means 1/2A to be 1/(2A) :-)

Let's see. Kimmy, if you mean and assume A not = zero,

1
A*sin(wt) = ------- , then
2*A

Divide both sides by A to get:

1
sin(wt) = -------
2*A^2

taking inverse sine of both side gives

1
wt = arcsin (-------)
2*A^2
Whe

1
------- = 1
2*A^2

and A = sqrt(2)

However, if you mean,

A*sin(wt) = (1/2)*A then

Divide both sides by A to get

sin(wt) = 1/2

Taking inverse sine of both sides gives:

wt = arcsin(1/2)
