Einsteinhoax wrote: The Einstein Hoax By H. E. Retic ONLY E mail:- "The Einstein Hoax" is intended for those who have been suspicious of the premise that reality is so subtle that it can only be understood in terms of sophisticated abstract mathematics to which only the elite was privy. There is no elite. Anyone with the wit and the determination can learn the math. I am just a computer programmer and I learned enough of the math to follow papers in the journals and the Lanl archives. As to the math, Newton had to invent calculus and differential equations in order to deal with motion, particularly accelerated motion. How is that any different in essence than what is done in modern physics. A fluxion is no more visualizable than a Hermitian operator. In fact Bishop Berkeley had a good old time savaging Newton and Liebnitz for their seeming nonsense about infinitesimals. It has only been in the last 50 years or so that infinitesimals have been made mathematically respectable. Bob Kolker |
