I wonder if people posting in this group are real physicists or just
hobby-scientists discussing about something they don't even understand ???

The majority of posters here are babbling loons.

The ones that are "real" are pretty obvious if you aren't one of the babbling
loonies.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm just a hobby-scientist
discussing about something I don't even undrestand.

The way I understand it, any usergroup is open to anyone no matter what
their knowledge or lack of knowledge, as long as they like arguing and
insulting people and being insulted, so the only way out is to post
one's opinion and then never read the replies. Sort of a shame , isn't
it???

I have a BS in math and I have reason to believe that I just killed
determinism. I can also make statements regarding continuity of spacetime,
etc.

So why not write a book ? Because I am an insane man and would much prefer
to argue in the street.

If that makes me a kook, so be it.

1. Working physicists who feel either a moral obligation to correct
misconceptions and battle kooks, or find it fun to do so.
2. Retired physicists, engineers, chemists, other scientists who use
this avenue as a good way to keep the chops up.
3. Physics and engineering students who use this both as a vehicle for
deepening understanding (by explaining or asking open questions) and
for keeping tabs on topics of interest.
4. Interested non-scientists who are bouncing off ideas or clearing up
basic concepts.
5. Wanna-be pseudo-intellectuals who aspire to do something
revolutionary without making the effort required to do so successfully.
6. Barely lucid hecklers who just like to say something to provoke and
then watch what happens.
7. Complete stark-raving lunatics who babble into the wind and who
don't care or aren't aware if anyone is there to listen or respond.

The trick, of course, is to figure out whom is whom.

There is something that apparently is not too clear to you:

the existing science is not the holy scrolls!

IE far away from being complete!and surprise for you:
especially in its latest 'paradigm'
there is a lot of nonsense
just a little example:
virtual particles or W bosons etc.
that is nothing but a wild guesses that only God
knows why it was taken so seriously
by parrots
(yes there are a lot of naive parrots
and not to mention the establishment crooks)
that know that something is wrong and yet
keep hiding their real understanding that there is something wrong!!
because of ...... surprise!!
economical , private interests Jobs etc.
surprisingly enough the Human nature didnt change much the last 500
years!!)

now of course if you just parrot the existing
you are a nice 'legitimate ' scientists

but the second thing you apparently didnt realize
is that there is no chance at this position
that there is no other way to make advance but .....
surprise:
Trial and error'!!
most of the guesses will fall down
one of a thousand will stride forward!1

and let me make some wild guess:

the real breakthroughs will not be done by 'insiders'
it will be done by outsiders!!

2 second wild guess:
you personally are making your living from science!
is it a right guess ??
or alternatively has some new theory
that you try to sell and others are 'disturbing you' right??
