Default Code of Universe vs Genetic Code 4: Randall, Wesson, Weak Equivalence

From Osher Doctorow

Take a look at my earlier sci.physics threads like Randall-Sundrum,
Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet, and PI (under my name for example) for more on
the 5 dimensional aspects especially curvature and a fifth force
related to inertial mass.

Paul S. Wesson of U. Waterloo Physics Dept., Canada, in "The
equivalence principle as a symmetry," gr-qc/0302092 v1 2 Feb 2003, uses
a method somewhat (if distantly) like my relating the Riccati
Differential equation and Raychaudhuri equation as well as other
methods to show that there is a 5th force involving the 5th
Kaluza-Klein or Randall-Sundrum dimension or inter-/extra- brane
dimension which is related to the inertial rest mass of a test particle
and which has the nature of mass = length (dimensionally). He also
argues effectively that the WEP (Weak Equivalence Principle) is a
geometric symmetry that is only valid in the limit when the test
particle mass is comparatively negligible to the source mass, that the
4D world is part of a 5D world, and that violations of the WEP must
exist.

Lisa Randall of Harvard and R. Sundrum of Johns Hopkins (Maryland) seem
to have been led to the 5th dimension partly by making modern sense of
Kaluza-Klein and Brane/M-Theory and partly by attempting to "exorcise
ghosts" which are special anomalies that are associated with
"unphysical" things like "antigravity". In fact, Jihn E. Kim and Hyun
Min Lee of Seoul National U. Physics Dept. and Center for Theoretical
Physics, Korea, in "Gravity in the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Theory with
the Randall-Sundrum background," hep-th/0010093 v2 7 Nov 2000 indicate
that ghost-free conditions or the search for them play a crucial role
together with (related) brane bending/warped geometry effect including
along the extra dimension especially in the low energy limit regardless
of static solution backgrounds.
