Our goal is to explain nature as accurately as possible and our
explanation assumes there are line-like continuums for space and time.

If there are no line-like continuums in nature, and our use of them is
an error, then our picture of nature will not be accurate. It will
describe parts of nature incompletely, and it will describe things that
are not apart of nature. It will be wrong.

Our current scientific understanding of quantum mechanics and
relativity represents this exact sort of situation. There is a
competition between the discrete and the continuous in our theories.

The suggestion that this conflict is a result of errornous assumptions
about the mechanisms of space and time should be taken seriouslly.

The suggestion that eliminating continuums of space and time may lead
to a new understanding of relativity and quantum mechanics should at
least be examined.
