it's not a star; congraduation!
The Venus I'm talking about wasn't anywhere near the sun. *Go figure. to include the phasal parameter "as 'seen' from Earth?..." was Venus closer to conjunction or opposition to Earth, during those alleged missions?... --one way ticket to Cydonia! |

so, since we don't want you to get out of your simsuit
to verify any thing -- you have to *code* your way out of this wordproblemma, supplimenting the JPL freeware -- please, by observation "above the plane of the ecliptic" in your sim, what is the maximum angular distance of Venus from Sun -- what do they call that 90-degree relation in astrology? I'm counting on you to do it, because I'm afraid of sims, myself -- vertigo! thus: there is no curvature in timespace per se; it is simply phase-space, an artifact of mathematics (and making an infinite "time axis" on a *big* piece of paper .-) see the treatment of SR by Lancsoz in _Variational Mechanics_ (Dover) -- explain it to me! He didn't. It was Minkowski who actually formulated SR as a manifestation of curvature in a spacetime manifold.
