This posting by Gordon D. Pusch is not true.
(1) "The Bible According to Einstein" has been out of print for more than two years. Just try to obtain a copy somewhere. (2) Gezhi Weng used to work for Jupiter Scientific but has not done so for more than three years except on a consulting basis. (3) Jupiter Scientific has been operating as a not-for-profit organization. Its motto is "dedicated to the promotion of science and scientific education through books, the internet, and other means of communication" (4) It is true that each year, Jupiter Scientific updates its information at the webpage http://www.jupiterscientific.org/sciinfo/perseid.html about the Perseid meteor shower and posts it to many scientific newsgroups as a reminder to people interested in science about the event. What is wrong with this? Just because it is posted to many newsgroups does not make it SPAM. SPAM is the unsolicitted emailing of *irrelevant material* to lots of people. (5) Gordon D. Pusch refers to the jsp posting as advertisment. If one goes to http://www.jupiterscientific.org/sciinfo/index.html and explores the webpages and links, one finds useful free scientific information. How can this be considered advertising? (Gordon D. Pusch) wrote in message ... "Jupiter Scientific Press " is a front for the notorious "Slow SPAMmer" Gezhi Weng, who attempts to suck people in using apparently "educational" advertisements posted in small batches to every newsgroup in usenet over a period of days in an attempt to evade the cancelbots, as well as forging testimonials of her own website under many different pseudonyms. See: http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=iahotuce6fbbgrptc1tir4poff7tamh7uo%404 ax.com&output=gplain, http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=kteotuoo5v29qa0tm0qosv2o8clacp9j5g%404 ax.com&output=gplain. Gezhi Weng has been SPAMming usenet using these two strategies for the better part of a decade. The "Jupiter Scientific Press" website is actually a bait-and-switch scam that tries to suck people in and get them to buy a very bad book entitled "Einstein and the Bible," written by Gehzi Weng's husband. "Jupiter Scientific Press" appears to be currently being hosted by Yahoo.com, which is now part of SBC. To complain about SPAM to Yahoo.com, send e-mail to . |
