Default EMI and EMC applications

I am a final year student.......myself and a group of students have
decided to project on this field.......we thought of EMI shielding or
any applications or problem solving methodology in EMI and
EMC...................we have decided to go for a software approach
rather than a hardware.........going for an algorithmic software
simulation to show that a particular problem in EMI or EMC can be
reduced...................We don't know where to get
started.........please we are looking for someone who can provide us
the necessary links or already available projects that we can
implement.........please do guide us.......we would be more than
grateful

Default EMI and EMC applications

Are you in the final year of university? Commerical computational EM
software are very expensive. if you know a professor in the department
working in this field, talk with him/her. You may get a access to the
software.

There are some free EM code available on the internet, either FDTD based or
FEM based. Depending on your preference, either will do. Messing with the
code is not easy. Not only you need a good understanding of programming
language, usually in either C++ or Matlab, but also some knowledge on
numerical methods to solve partial differential equations. If you enjoyed
programming, you would benefit a lot from this hard road.

A typical application is absorption of EM energy in human tissue. This is
encountered in hyperthermia, in microwave imaging, cell phone .
