SCIENTIST SAYS NEUTRON STARS, NOT BLACK HOLES, AT CENTER OF GALAXIES
[snip]
This seems to agree with the latest observations of galaxies,
where it is claimed that a majority of galaxies do _NOT_ have MASSIVE
black holes at their center.
And without Newtonian "attractive _force_", it is less
likely that any black holes at all exist.
All this makes the quest to observe black holes even
more interesting.
Personally, I believe that a black hole should shine
brightly from lensing light from every direction behind it,
and that light should be extremely diffuse with no spectral
lines at all because of the large number of different sources.
The problem is trying to see light from an area smaller
than 100 square miles at a distance that even some fusion
source stars are difficult to see.
