The clock goofed.
It is that simple of a fact,
and nothing more than such.

The standard of measurement is thrown out the window
when you speak of "time dilation" as actual time "itself" changing rate.
time dilation = clock malfunction.
Fact, not science fiction.
The clock malfunctioned in it's proper function.
Time can not change rate.
Just as an inch is always an inch, a second is always a second.
and neither change if you stay within the borders of sceince
and scientific measurement.
