misconceptions and battle kooks, or find it fun to do so.

3. Physics and engineering students who use this both as a vehicle for
deepening understanding (by explaining or asking open questions) and
for keeping tabs on topics of interest.
4. Interested non-scientists who are bouncing off ideas or clearing up
basic concepts.
5. Wanna-be pseudo-intellectuals who aspire to do something
revolutionary without making the effort required to do so successfully.
6. Barely lucid hecklers who just like to say something to provoke and
then watch what happens.
7. Complete stark-raving lunatics who babble into the wind and who
don't care or aren't aware if anyone is there to listen or respond.

The trick, of course, is to figure out whom is whom.
