We intercepted the live broadcast from the Moon in 1969 when
I was in the Military.- Hide quoted text -
The astronauts were in low-earth orbit. That accounts for that signal.
In fact there was a massive blunder in one of the shoots where a fake
far-away earth could be seen in one window then the real close-earth
was briefly seen on another.
Bart Sibrel found that one. Google it and you'll probably find it.
I think as a brave crew they may have actually made it to/from the
moon's L1, because that's technically doable via the Saturn V
And it's all down hill from there and in both directions. So what the
hell are you talking about?
What's "down hill"?
The L1 is like a mountain peak, but with the moons gravity pulling you
on one side and the earth's on the other. If you get to L1, it's
quite literally downhill in both directions. It would be stupid to
get there and just turn around. But considering the source, I can
understand it. You're not exactly a rocket scientist, in all senses
of the phrase.
The required energy per given tonne of station-keeping such mass
within the moon's L1 is minimal and thus easily managed. However, it
is one hell of a doubl-IR (at times triple-IR) toasty kind of place to
be, not to mention wide open to receiving whatever's the moon's gamma
and X-rays.
